Exporting Truss objects in R42 has been improved to include all cross members of the Truss model when exported to a DWG or DXF file.
The new Position Tool is a compact, dockable window that displays the position of an object, and offers an easy way to change its location. Select one or many objects and move them in a couple clicks along the X, Y, Z directions, or enter an exact coordinate, bypassing the traditional Move command or need of the command line.
Everyone loves a clean drawing. In R42, the appearance of primitive objects, library items, custom library items or consolidated objects in wireframe views has been improved. The representation of these items are esthetically cleaned up, no longer displaying redundant internal mesh lines for certain objects in 2D views and isometric views. With this enhancement, objects look cleaner, CAD stays more organized and plots look more professional.
When your LED Walls push limits, there is a new “Display as Screen” option to display a pixelated LED Wall panel, like a Screen display, using the same dimensions and source of the LED Wall object.  This simple toggle delivers improved performance without redrawing anything, and then makes it easy to switch back to the LED Wall representation by a simple checkbox click.
A new property has been introduced in wysiwyg. The “Cast Shadows” property in an object’s appearance allows you to define if this object should or should not cast shadows when visualizing beams. Previously shadows could only be toggled on or off globally for all objects in a Shaded View, but with this new option, you have more control at a finer level by selecting which objects to calculate and display Shadows for in your shows.
The Camera Control System in wysiwyg is unique, and for some users it is very different than in other 3D applications they are used to. As a result, we have introduced an alternative Camera Control System which you can choose to use from Application Options > General tab. We all work differently, so now you can explore what is most comfortable for you.
In addition to the introduction of Keyboard Shortcuts for Scene Switching, from the Scene Manager, you can also define Scene Switching via DMX. Patch a channel to control Scenes, and easily transition your Scenes as part of the programmed cues.
